Reason for expectations:
Trust K V Anand to present you with visually rich entertainers, what with his critically praised cinematography background. Not only has he proved his mettle with his earlier two directorial ventures, he has also emphasized that he is as good an entertainer as he is a serious movie maker. The diversity, portrayed by his Kana Kandaen and Ayan after he wore the director’s hat is proof of his meticulousness. As Ko is releasing with great expectations over the weekend, here’s are a few reasons why you should watch Ko:
Simply because K V Anand is a good storyteller, obviously and the trailers of the movie looks damn racy. Anand has also preserved a mysterious air surrounding the movie, thereby increasing people’s curiosity as the release approaches.
There is Jeeva in it, who can fluidly fit into the shoes of any character and is rightfully selected to play the photo journalist, Ashwin. This film may or may not have autobiographical elements from Anand’s personal life since Anand began his life as a photojournalist with the Tamil magazine Kalki.
Karthika Nair, Radha’s daughter makes her Tamil debut with Ko. She looks as luscious as her mother Radha during her debut days.
Harris’ music has already hit the chartbuster charts and is going places. The airwaves of Chennai are swamped with Ko’s music and the movie’s release will only let the popularity soar.
Other cast members include Pia, Ajmal, Prakash Raj and Sona Heiden.
Produced by R S Infotainment, Ko is distributed by Red Giant Movies and is releasing on the 22nd of April. Ko is also being simultaneously (dubbed and) released in Telugu as Rangam.
Level of expectations: 75%
Genre: Action Drama
Audience: Anybody who loves entertainers will love Anand's movies. Suffice to say, Ko is for everyone.
